East Lothian Summer Series 2026

A series of 5km runs throughout the summer

Entry:

Restricted to members of the clubs, over 16s from Team East Lothian and Jog Scotland only. £2 per race.

Minimum age 16

Venues:

Portobello Tuesday 16th June: Venue: Jewel & Esk college, Milton Road

North Berwick / Whitekirk: Tuesday 23rd June. Venue: As per Whitekirk Park Run.

Haddington: Wednesday 15th July. Venue: the entrance to the golf course

Dunbar: Tuesday 4th August. Venue: John Muir Country Park

Musselburgh Thursday 13th August. This will include a prize giving BBQ. Venue: Fisherrow yacht club, at 97 New Street, Musselburgh

All races to start at 7pm.

Register at the first race and keep your race number for the summer. Please turn up before 6.30 to ensure enough time for registration (6.15pm for the first race at Portobello)

Prizes / categories

Category places to be for a runners best 4 results (this gives folk a chance to miss a couple of legs and still be in with a shout).

So if, for example, someone gets three first places a second and a third, their "total" is 5 (1+1+1+2) - lowest in each category wins.

Categories 10 year bands.

Men & Women

Under 50

Over 50

Over 60

Over 70.

As before these runs should be treated as club runs. They will not have a licence from Scottish Athletics and as such they won’t be covered by race insurance, outwith whatever insurance the individuals and clubs have.
